Setup
No tips in this line matched closely enough. Try adjusting rate, speed or spacing, or call (509) 838-2209 and we'll help you find one.
Recommendations are computed from standard broadcast-sprayer flow math and TeeJet's published droplet-size reference data.
Always confirm droplet-size requirements against your product label — some herbicide labels (e.g. dicamba, 2,4-D choline) mandate a specific ASABE droplet category.

Setup
No CP4916 plate hits that rate between 5 and 60 psi. Try a different speed or spacing, or call (509) 838-2209 and we'll size it with you.
TeeJet Variable Rate StreamJet
Or cover a wide speed range with one VR cap
SJ7A-VR (7-outlet) and SJ3-VR (3-outlet) StreamJet caps have an orifice that opens further as pressure rises, so one size covers roughly 2–3× the flow range of a fixed orifice between 30 and 80 psi. Your rate controller can hold the target rate as ground speed changes without swapping plates. Speed ranges below are for your product, rate and spacing.
None of the VR sizes cover this rate at a practical field speed — stick with a CP4916 plate, or call (509) 838-2209.

Show:
Tip strainer size: orifice 15 and smaller → 200 mesh · 16–39 → 100 mesh · 40–70 → 50 mesh · 72 and larger → no strainer needed. Always insert the plate with the numbered side facing the outlet.
Orifice flows are TeeJet's published CP4916 and SJ7A-VR values for water at 70°F sprayed into open air. Heavier solutions are converted with the standard specific-gravity factor (√(solution weight ÷ 8.34)). If your application creates backpressure or sprays into a liquid, measure and calibrate.

Anti-icing & deicing with TeeJet SJ3 StreamJet tips. SJ3 tips lay liquid deicer down in three solid streams instead of a fan — no fine mist to drift, and the striped pattern leaves traction between the stripes. Enter your boom and target rate and we'll size the tip, from the SJ3 tips we have on the shelf.
Setup
Typical anti-icing with salt brine runs about 20–50 gal/lane-mile on roads, or roughly 0.5–1 gal/1,000 sq ft on lots and walks — follow your agency's or product's guidance.
No SJ3 size hits that rate between 20 and 60 psi. Try a different speed or tip spacing, or call (509) 838-2209 and we'll size it with you.
TeeJet Variable Rate StreamJet
Speed changes a lot on a deicing route? Consider SJ3-VR
SJ3-VR caps open further as pressure rises (30–80 psi), so with a rate controller one size holds your rate across a much wider speed range than a fixed SJ3 tip.
SJ3 rate chart at your setup
SJ3 flows are TeeJet's rated GPM at 40 psi for water (flow varies with the square root of pressure, 20–60 psi operating range). Heavier deicers are converted with the standard specific-gravity factor (√(solution weight ÷ 8.34)); solution weights are typical and vary with concentration and temperature. Always calibrate with a catch test before the season.
