Raven Error & Alarm Lookup
Type what the screen says, what the lights are doing, a part number, or just the symptom. Every answer comes from our Raven troubleshooting guide, with the steps right here and the parts linked.
Still stuck?
- Ask Dusty — our help assistant has this whole guide, Raven's dealer-portal knowledge base and the Sprayer Q&A board. It can also look at a photo of the screen or the node lights. Ask Dusty →
- Check the cable first. Most Raven "electronics" problems are a connector: corrosion, a backed-out pin, a chafed wire at a boom hinge. Wiggle-test with the system powered and watch the screen.
- Call a Raven Platinum dealer. We've serviced Raven since the SCS 440 days and can usually diagnose over the phone with you at the machine. (509) 838-2209, Mon–Fri 9–5 Pacific. For anything that needs a cable we can't buy, we build it.
- Raven ↔ CNH part numbers: if your parts book shows a Case IH / New Holland number, convert it here.
Raven error and alarm lookup
Raven rate controllers, Hawkeye nozzle control, AutoBoom, SmarTrax steering, Sidekick injection and the Viper / Envizio / CR field computers report trouble three ways: a message on the screen, a light pattern on a node or valve, or a reading that's simply wrong (rate reads zero, speed shows while parked, sections don't paint). This lookup indexes all 87 entries of our troubleshooting guide so you can search any of those the way you'd describe it over the phone, and it shows the steps and the part numbers without leaving the page. If you'd rather read the guide top to bottom, it's here.
The three things every Raven rate system needs
Speed → boom sense → flow, in that order. No speed means no area, no area means no rate, and the console will sit at zero no matter how much liquid is moving. Before chasing a flow meter, confirm the console sees speed and sees the boom switch on. The "No rate" entry walks through it.
Light codes at a glance
| Where | What to search |
|---|---|
| CAN node (product controller, boom node, AccuBoom) | "node lights" |
| Hawkeye / Hawkeye 2 nozzle control valve | "NCV light codes", "blinking blue" |
| Sidekick Pro injection pump | "Sidekick Pro node lights" |
| RS1 steering / GPS | "RS1 lights" |
| Field Hub 2.0 | "Field Hub light colors" |
Common questions
Raven rate reads zero — what do I check first?
Speed, then boom sense, then flow. If speed is zero the rate will be zero; confirm the speed source (radar, GPS or wheel sensor) in the console. Then confirm the console registers the booms on. Only then test the flow meter signal with the node connected — a voltmeter alone can't see it.
What does a red light on a Raven node mean?
Node lights tell you power, CAN communication and logic status; the pattern (solid, blinking, which LED) is what matters. Search "node lights" above for the table, then "CAN cable voltage tests" to check the bus.
Hawkeye valves blinking blue and "Multiple Nozzle Offline"?
Two valves blinking blue at once on Hawkeye 2 points to a break in the NCV cable chain between them. The entry explains how indexing works and how to find the break.
Where's the Raven error code list?
Raven's newer systems (RS1, Hawkeye 2, RCM) report DTCs and plain-text messages rather than numbered codes; this lookup covers the ones we see in the field. If yours isn't here, ask Dusty — it searches Raven's dealer knowledge base — or call us with the exact text on the screen.
