This is the same pulse width modulated (PWM) hydraulic control valve Raven supplies as part number 063-0171-842.  It's an electronically adjustable, pressure-compensated flow control rated to 10 GPM of oil flow. It regulates the hydraulic drive on a product pump or spinner, so your Raven rate controller can hold the target rate as ground speed and conditions change. It's used on sprayers, NH3 and liquid fertilizer rigs, and granular spreaders running PWM control.

How it works

Oil from the pump enters the IN port. With no signal to the coil, all flow goes out the EX (excess) port back to tank. As the rate controller raises the PWM duty cycle, the valve sends proportionally more oil out the CF port to your pump or spinner motor. Both CF and EX are pressure compensated, so the controlled flow stays steady when system pressure changes.

Put on the connector you need

Raven's version comes with a connector already on it. Ours ships with bare leads, so you can crimp on whatever end matches your harness. That makes it a fit for installs that call for the 063-0171-842 as well as the other 10 GPM version, 063-0172-656, which uses a 2-pin Metri-Pack connector. Need the connector too?
